Welcome to the Department of Social Work and Human Services.
Within the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services at Kennesaw State University,
the Department of Social Work and Human Services is a vibrant and exciting place to
begin your professional careers. The department serves over 400 students within the
Bachelor of Science in Human Services, Master of Social Work, Certificate Programs,
and related studies courses.
The Human Services program is accredited through the Council for Standards in Human Service Education, and the Master of Social Work clinical program is accredited through the Council on Social Work Education. The department offers certificate programs in Child Advocacy Studies Training and Nonprofit Management and Social Innovation. Graduate students may earn a dual degree鈥擬SW-MBA鈥攁dministered collaboratively by the Department of Social Work and Human Services and Coles College of Business. Additionally, Master of Social Work students can also earn a graduate certificate in Leadership and Ethics. These additional programs of study provide students with specialized training and credentials that are highly valued by prospective employers.
The Wellstar College employs state-of-the-art facilities and technology to provide
students and faculty with a dynamic and supportive learning environment. The Department
of Social Work and Human Services provides challenging course work, rich internship
experiences, and maintains high academic standards for preparing students as professionals
for meeting the needs of vulnerable and marginalized populations in their communities.
