Attend International Student Orientation

Kennesaw State University students represent over 127 countries! As a new international student, you must have a lot of questions. Attending International Student Orientation will answer many of those questions and help you learn about the programs, resources, and campus services that will guide you in your transition as a new Owl. All new undergraduate and graduate international students are required to attend. 

By attending, you will learn about the programs, resources, and campus services that will guide you in your transition as a new Owl. You will also be able to:

  • Meet with the International Student and Scholar Services Team to learn about important visa information. 
  • Connect with university faculty, staff, and other KSU students, including current international students.  
  • Take a campus tour, visit the campus bookstore, learn about your Mobile Talon Card, and more!

International Student Orientation Attendee Checklist 

Please complete the following items before attending International Student Orientation:

  1. Register for classes.  
    • Wondering when you鈥檙e able to register for classes? Students can find their registration time on by selecting the Registration tab and selecting Prepare for Registration.  
    • Resolve all holds. You must resolve holds before you can register for classes. Holds can be viewed by logging into , selecting Registration, and then selecting Prepare for Registration.
    • Connect with your Academic Advising Team. We recommend that all new undergraduate students set up an appointment with their before registering for classes.

  2. Complete the .
    • These modules were designed to help you in your transition to campus. Topics include course registration, parking and transportation options, campus involvement, and more! Students typically complete these modules in 25-30 minutes.

  3. Upload a Photo for Your Mobile Talon Card.
    • Your Talon Card is now available on your mobile device! Click the link above for instructions on how to submit a photo and download your Mobile Talon Card.

  4. Check out the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) website.
    • This website will provide important forms, visa information, and resources designed specifically for international students. You鈥檒l learn more about the ISSS team at orientation.

  5. View the Academic Calendar for important dates for the semester, including start dates, holidays, and payment deadlines.
