Nearly 2,900 fall graduates earning degrees from Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. | Dec 9, 2020

Kennesaw State will have its first class of graduates as Georgia’s second-largest university when nearly 2,900 students receive their degrees this month.

The December 2020 class is composed of 2,890 graduation candidates – 2,427 undergraduate and 463 graduate students. That marks an increase from KSU’s more than 2,600 graduates last fall.

“This calendar year has been unlike any we’ve experienced in higher education, and our students have shown tremendous determination and resilience, particularly our seniors who have earned their degrees,” said Kennesaw State President Pamela Whitten. “I could not be any prouder of what the class of 2020 has accomplished.”

Facts about Kennesaw State’s Fall 2020 graduates:

  • The mean grade point average is 3.23 for undergraduate candidates and 3.8 for graduate candidates.
  • 196 graduate students and 51 undergraduates are completing their degrees with a 4.0 GPA.

  • The numbers of male (1,217) and female (1,210) undergraduate candidates are nearly equal, while the graduate students are 296 women and 167 men.

All Kennesaw State 2020 graduates are invited to participate in the University’s May 2021 commencement exercises. Ceremonies dedicated to each college for 2020 spring, summer and fall graduates and spring 2021 graduates are scheduled for the week of May 10-14, 2021, and will be held at Fifth Third Bank Stadium to accommodate as many people as possible while providing for appropriate health and safety protocols.
