Since transferring to KSU in 2022 to study modern language and culture, Amaya has continued to work a full-time job and a part-time job, or up to three part-time, as she looks forward to a teaching career.

It鈥檚 easier still to be entranced by how candidly he speaks about religion, sexuality, activism, and why he asks his students to write with compassion even about the most flawed human beings. Conley is the author of 鈥淏oy Erased,鈥� a 2016 Lambda-nominated memoir adapted into a major motion picture starring Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. It tells the story of a closeted gay son of religious parents being forced into conversion therapy.
