Academic Distinction Statement

Our students experience world-class instruction in the Department of Mathematics from faculty who are deeply invested in student success. Nearly all courses offered by the department are designed and taught entirely by鈥痜ull-time faculty. Our small classes allow instructors to develop close individualized relationships with students that sets them on a path for success whether majoring in mathematics or many other related disciplines. Our department has a vibrant research culture and actively engages in mentoring students in original research projects. Our graduates are fully prepared to enter the workforce in industry or academia where deep analytic and quantitative skills are in high demand.
