How to Apply to Leadership Scholars Program

We provide up to 25 exceptional business students per year with unique opportunities through a cohort-based program focused on leadership development. You will:

  • Earn a 鈥淐oles College Leadership Scholars鈥� Minor to add to your transcript and your resume
  • Develop foundational relationships and comradery with your Cohort
  • Experience Community Engagement
  • Address actual business challenges through specialized courses
  • Distinguish yourself in today鈥檚 job market

Application Process

Applications are open now for the next Cohort of the Leadership Scholars Program that begins in the fall.

  1. Information sessions occur throughout the semester. Please see the information sessions schedule here.
  2. Send the letters of recommendation link to two people (at least one should be KSU faculty.)
  3. Write an essay in response to the prompt included in the online application.
  4. Click on the 鈥渁pply here鈥� button to open the online application
  5. Top applicants will be selected for interviews.
  6. Selected candidates will be invited to join the next Cohort of Leadership Scholars.

Requirements

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher overall and in Coles College lower division GPA requirement
  • Admittance into the Coles College Professional Program
  • Available for a 2-year commitment to complete the program
  • Maintaining an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout the program
  • Adherence to the requirements and expectations in the Coles College Leadership Scholars Handbook

Applications for the 2025 Cohort will be open starting in December 1st.
