A central theme of Kennesaw State鈥檚 new strategic plan is achieving greater national prominence for the institution, and a key initiative in this endeavor is increasing the number of students pursuing and being awarded competitive external scholarships, fellowships, and internships.

"Kennesaw State University has a strong reputation for innovation and academic excellence," said Elliott. 鈥淚 am thrilled to join the Journey Honors College team to help build on their strong tradition of student success.  As Associate Dean, I am energized to work with the elite Honors Cohort Programs, which are truly unique in the USG and offer students transformative experiences in the classroom and through experiential learning opportunities.  I will also oversee the Office of National and International Scholarships and Fellowships (ONISF), and I am proud to work with that dedicated team to elevate and empower KSU students as they seek out nationally and internationally prominent awards.  Now is truly an exciting time to join the Journey Honors College at KSU!"

"We are excited to bring Dr. Elliott and her proven track record of leadership to our Office of National and International Scholarships and Fellowships," said Dean Kornweibel. 鈥淜SU students are amazing and do incredible things and we look forward to helping more of them be rewarded and recognized for their outstanding achievements. Jamie also brings exceptional honors experience, and her leadership will help us elevate our honors cohorts.鈥
