Career and Academic Opportunities

Together, a BSCJ and MS-CYBR degree will provide students with the knowledge and skills to have impactful and rewarding careers related to the prevention of crime and cybersecurity. With mastery of theoretical and practical knowledge of criminal justice and cybersecurity, graduates of this Double Owl Pathway will be able to obtain a wide range of careers in areas such as cybercrime investigation, network security, and threat assessment in both the private and public sector such as at state and federal agencies and businesses and corporations. Students completing this degree track will also achieve skills to promote their success in continued academic achievements such as the pursuit of a law degree or PhD in criminal justice and cybersecurity.

Double Owl Admission Requirements

  • GPA:  3.25 in KSU undergraduate coursework
  • 60 hours completed toward Bachelor鈥檚 degree (i.e., BS Criminal Justice degree)
  • 18 hours completed in residence at KSU

Double Counted Courses

  • CYBR 7000 to count for Upper Division Elective or Related Study
  • CYBR 7050 to count for Upper Division Elective or Related Study
  • CYBR 7300 to count for Upper Division Elective or Related Study
